Consumer Electronics

eGRAF® SPREADERSHIELD™ 2D thermal management products solve today's comfort and performance issues faced by many leading consumer electronics manufacturers. eGRAF® SPREADERSHIELD™ and eGRAF® SPREADERSHIELD™ 3D solutions allow design engineers the ability to design next generation products differently. It is ideal for products where space for other thermal management solutions is limited and light weight is a key factor.

Telecommunications

eGRAF products can eliminate the negative impact of heat generating components in telecommunications equipment. In cell phone applications, active (fan-based) solutions are not a viable thermal solution due to noise and power consumption levels. eGRAF passive cooling solutions solve many problems unique to handheld devices, including keypad, “flash” LED, LED backlight, power amplifier and battery-related thermal issues. Other telecom applications include: broadcast/broadband, networking, navigation, routers and switches, satellite, base stations and remote radio head (RHH).

Aviation/Aerospace

The demanding environments of the aviation and aerospace products require components that can face these challenges. GrafTech AET natural graphite products can be customer designed for these extreme applications.

Military

Appliances

For consumer products, such as appliances, product size will remain the same or become even more compact with the addition of processing capabilities. In these cases, cooing will be limited to the thermal conductivity of the packaging material and whatever airflow is provided inside the system. eGRAF® SPREADERSHIELD™ thermal management material is the ideal solution for efficiently moving heat to the exterior packaging without compromising size and capability.
